Experiences in Dyeing Yarn

So, I found some yarn on clearance that had chocolate stains on it.  It is Cascade Pacific and the colorway was 07.  So I decided to buy it and dye it.

Here is is once I skeined it up with my niddy noddy:

So I followed the directions on dyeing yarn with Kool-aid.  I soaked the yarn for 1 hour in cold water.  Put it in a microwaveable glass dish.  Added water and 2 packets of Blastin' Berry Cherry.  I did the whole microwaving thing.

And this is what I got:

A nice strawberry red with hints of blue.  It is really pretty and smells so yummy.  We may be making socks or fingerless mitts with it.
