Kingdom of Childhood--Lecture 5

I just listened to the fifth lecture in the Kingdom of Childhood series of lectures.  This one was all about math.  It was very useful for teaching math for the first time using Waldorf methods or if you are just starting out with Waldorf.  This is an excellent resource.

It also explored whole to parts learning in depth and why it is the natural way of learning.  There were some funny moments on this one especially the parts about the head being useless.  And after listening to it and thinking about it I saw what he was getting at.  We don't think with our heads but with our bodies.  I see a lot of this in my younger daughter who is a hands-on learner and needs to use physical means to figure things out.

Great lecture and a must listen to if you are teaching math in a Waldorf way.
