Movie Review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

My daughter recently read most of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and loved them. So we decided to take in the movie at the $2 matinee.

It was well worth the $8. We laughed and it had a good message "be yourself and people will like you."

The parents were portrayed decently. Mom was firm, busy and involved. Dad was intelligent but still a big kid. And the rest of the cast could have been kids that you knew when you went to Junior High.

The movie did reaffirm why I would not want my children in public school for the 6-8th grade range. Too much going on and too much that these children have to deal with just with their own bodies not to mention all the social stuff too.

Great, funny movie.
