Monday Morning

Finally, a great start to the week. We are all adjusted to the time change and things are back to their normal routine. Yeah!

I worked with my oldest first. Today, I am going to pick up the book Eats, Shoots and Leaves because we are notebooking when to use commas and the book is really a lot of fun. She also learned about e-drop words, turtles and how to write remainders as fractions. On her own she worked on dolphin vocabulary and adding suffixes to words. She also finished copying her paper on rabbits as pets.

My youngest worked on List A from SWR. She read words and we marked the ones that didn't say their first sound. She liked the story for science about "the Pink Rosebud." We also made a Lego graph, worked on an addition chart, learned about 12, 4 and 8. Then we made a page about Ivy-hor an Egyptian king that came between Scorpion I and Ka who experts debate the existence of. Then while listening to Peeps in Egypt we finished up the Egyptian mummy model. It took a lot of work but it is all done now.

We finished The Hostile Hospital last night and have the Carnivorous Carnival on hold. Hopefully it will be in but if it isn't we will just finish reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at night.

The rest of the day is dedicated to showers and a trip to the library. It was a good day and a good start to the week.
