Weekly Report December 18, 2009

We had a very light week as we approach Christmas. Here is the run-down:

Monday
reading
made clay animal sets
went to the library
had a playdate
practiced singing Christmas songs

Tuesday
reading
watched "Monty Python's The Holy Grail"
cleaned house

Wednesday
reading
worked on the penguin lapbook
folded laundry

Thursday
My oldest daughter and I are both sick so we took the day off. We also will not be singing Christmas songs at the nursing homes this year.

Also, I paid for my oldest's Oak Meadow 5 stuff today. We are very excited about this. I am still trying to track down a used set of Oak Meadow 2 that includes the Animal reader, Ben and Meg and the Syllabus for a good price.

It was an OK week.

Very funny - we are going to watch "Monty Python & the Holy Grail", as well a "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" during the next 2 weeks of winter break.

We will also do an episode or two of BBC's "Robin Hood". We already did the Disney version of "The Three Musketeers".

Can you tell we are studying the Middle Ages? :)

Yes, it was fun. Since we have rabbits they were looking forward to the monster rabbit part but they thought the black knight was the funniest.

LOL. I haven't watched Monty Python since college days.

Hope everyone is feeling better!

Yah! For deciding on your curriculum. For me things seem to run so much smoother after things are decided on and planned out.
