What's in the Workbox for Second Grade?

OK, my second grader has more work with mom stuff and less independent activities because she still needs a lot of help. We are still working on basic math and reading.

What's in the box?

#1--Read Aloud: By the Shores of Plum Creek

#2--Grammar: Mine, All Mine by Ruth Heller and paper to notebook about pronouns

#3--Math: Singapore Math 1a/b, Rod and Staff worksheets 142-145, number line, addition chart, 100 chart and paper to notebook new concepts

#4--Spelling

#5--Time Traveler History

#6--Science: Newton's laws of physics ideas for experiments

#7--Art project ideas

#8--Choice of math games: number sentences, + and - trains (5, 6, & 7), Even/Odd, Chick-n-place (place value), and Ladybug count and graph

#9--Choice of language arts games: sh puzzles, sight word activities, phonogram game book, bats in hats (final d, l, r, t), a bowl full of cherries (ch), falling into good sentences, common and proper noun sort, ABC sort, sound clown (vowels)

#10--Other activities: old fashioned paper dolls to color and writing prompts

#11--Educational TV on demand choices

#12--Get active ideas

I am hoping that it is a good week. This is only the second week and I know that we have quite a bit of bugs still to work out of the system but with time and trial we should get it all to work well for us.

How are your workboxes working for you?

It sounds like everyone is ready to roll! I really need to read back and learn more about workboxes.
