Weekly Report June 5, 2009

The first week back at school was good.

First Grade:

My Father's World--we explored the hill country and prairies of Canada

Rod and Staff English 2--sentences were the focus of the first four lessons

Mathematics--we reviewed addition and subtraction within 1-5. Numbers 1-4 are good but she needs to work a little on her facts for 5.

Third Grade:

Story of the World--the French and Indian war

Latin--started working on the second declension

Classical Writing--worked with adjectives and the story of "the Gingerbread Boy"

Mathematics--numbers to the 10,000

Project--started researching and looking at materials for the topic of animation

It was a good week. We stayed home and relaxed. Today we only have playgroup. Our little co-op is on break for the summer but we will have a planning meeting in a couple of weeks to start talking about the kinds of things we want to do next year. It is very exciting.

How was your week?

Sounds like a good first week! We've had some delays and unfortunately had to skip this week. :( Oh well! :)
