Weekly Report: February 5, 2009

It was a rather disruptive week. The child that is normally only here in the afternoons was here all day most of the week because of 2 hour delays for the school. He is not used to our morning routine and kept interrupting our school time. I will be glad when the snow is gone and everyone is back to a regular routine.

1st grade
Phonics--ch and wh sounds
Math--addition within 7
Lapbook--working on groundhogs.

3rd grade
History--the slave trade
Science--the circulatory system
Latin--started lesson 2 and learned the names of the classes of declensions.
Math--worked with multiplication and division with 7 and 8
Lapbook--groundhogs.

Tomorrow we will be making Valentine mailboxes.

Hope everyone else had a great week.

We're going to be doing Valentines art all next week. This is our first at home Valentine's Day and the plan is to make some for our older relatives and mail them in time for the special day.

Sounds like a good week! (You can send the snow to me ;) )
