CVS and Extra Care Bucks

CVS is the other place we shop heavily because they give out something called extra care bucks. Extra care bucks are "coupons" attached to the end of your receipt that you can spend on anything in the store.

The goal of this is to match up coupons to sales that give you extra care bucks back. For example, here is one of our receipts:

5 Soy Joy Bars 5.00 (these taste like dry fruit cakes but the kids like them)
CVS Baby Wipes .77 (they did not have the .99 Advil I had a $1 coupon for)
3 Bic 3 Razors 14.97

This left me with a total of 20.74.
We had a $4 off of 20.00 coupon to bring the total down to $16.74.
I had a Buy 2 get 1 free on Soy Joy, so our total is now $15.74.
I had 3 $2 coupons for the razors, so our total is now $9.74.
I used $7.99 in extra care bucks from earlier visits to bring the total down to $2.01 after tax. and earned $16.00 in extra care bucks.

Basically, I got $25.11 worth of products (non-sale prices), spent $2.01 out of pocket and earned $16.00 to spend at CVS.

If you want the real scoop on how to do this you need to visit this blog:
