Labor Day Week

It was a short but hard week.

Pre-K: I have a new little boy and we did the lapbook for the Before Five in a Row book: The Blue Boat. It was a nice little lapbooks to start with.

First Grade:

Math--Singapore Earlybird 2a measurement activities
Phonics--the sounds of sh and ee with nursery rhymes for copywork
Special project--The Wild Horses of Sweetbriar Island

Third Grade:

Math--Chapter tests in the public school math books to see if there are any gaps before moving on to 3b of Singapore Math.

Spelling--Spelling Power diagnostic tests

Grammar--nouns

Special project--a lapbook on Tigers.

We are looking forward to the weekend.

Good idea to use the public school text tests it's always good to check. I bet the lapbook on tigers was fun! Thanks for sharing.

I always enjoy your weekly reports. Your lapbooks look like so much fun. We need to do more lapbooks.
Sounds like a nice, long week-end is needed.
