Weekly Reporting is Back--First Week of August

We have worked through the summer but I have had a lot going on and so was not able to post every week. With the down-turn of the economy, my e-bay business also went south and so we have been working hard to open up a day care with children who would easily fold into our school day.

So what have we been working on all summer?

3rd grade:

Long division and multiplication for 7, 8 and 9 tables
Just started a unit on money
WISE guide spelling lists A to E
Minimus Latin
Story of the World through Galileo
Lapbooks on deer, pandas, and the elections. She is currently working on one based on the book, My Rows and Piles of Coins.
Piano lessons also started back up.

1st grade:

Spell to Write and Read consonant phonograms
Grimm's and English Fairy Tales
Addition within 4
Money
Lapbooks on hummingbirds, coral reef and Betsy Ross. She is currently working on a lapbook about shopping and the grocery store.

Preschoolers:

All about me is the book we are making which includes places to trace their hand, write their favorite color, draw a picture of themselves, etc.

Looks like you've had a full summer. I love the All About Me books, they are such a treasure to look at in later years!

Thanks for stopping by. I am doing the All About Me books with my day care children so that I can get to know them a little better and so that their parents will have the book to treasure.

Thanks.
