Notebooking

This year we have discovered notebooking as a great way to keep track of what we are working on. We have started several notebooks including: Bible, Grammar and Composition, History and Copywork.

So what are we putting in our notebooks?

Bible:
This notebook includes pictures that we have colored and a few other projects that have to do with our Bible Study.

Grammar and Composition:
This notebook includes several sections. The first is where we keep our current spelling list that we are working on. The second is grammar terms, definitions and examples. The third is goals for the year. And the Fourth section is the writing and grammar that we are currently working on. At the end of the year we will take all of our polished writing and put it in a notebook that can be displayed and shared.

History:
We have a special notebooking page that goes with Tapestry of Grace. On this page there is a blank timeline across the bottom, a place to write in new words and a place to put pictures of people, places and events studied. Each week of Tapestry of Grace has its own page and behind the page we put any maps, coloring pages and notebook sized projects. We will have a very nice book at the end of the year.

Copywork:
We have discovered pretty copywork papers this year. So each child has their own book where they put their copywork after it is finished and the pictures are colored in. This will be a nice book to share with others and look over how penmanship has improved over the course of the year.

Where are we finding our pages?

notebookingnook.com and notebookingpages.com are our main resources and a notebooking section of links will be added to the bottom of the page.
